Refresh DC & Prototyping
It is our first Refresh back from the chaos of SXSW and with a topic of much intrigue, Prototyping. Todd Zaki Warfel, President of Messagefirst, a design research firm in Philadelphia will not only be giving an overview of how and when to use prototyping as a tool in the IA/UX process, but also provide some techniques for the more seasoned veteran.
When:
Thursday, May 15, 2008
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where:
Strategic Analysis, Inc.
3601 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 600, Arlington, Virginia
We at nclud really pride ourselves on working with this idea that “web design” when done correctly is really this all-inclusive (hence the brand name) entity. And that idea really starts with a conversation that is the basis for the information architecture and user-experience process. A process of which defines content hierarchies and user flows which ultimately dictate structure, form and function – which becomes the basis for visual aesthetic design and front-end web development.
Prototyping is a very interesting element within that mix that can often times be very easily over-looked, misunderstood and/or under-estimated. We look forward to Todd’s presentation; especially as it appears the basis for his presentation is on the IA/UX side and prototyping is most commonly thought of on the web in the context of development. Todd’s presentations could prove to be extremely insightful and will perhaps spark some interesting conversation.
We are going to be there! Who is coming with us?
