Refresh DC & Web Application Security

It’s the last Refresh DC event of the year and it is tomorrow! Doug Wilson and Mark Bristow will present a high level overview of why those developing web applications should worry about security. They will also provide suggestions for avoiding common vulnerabilities discovered in the past year.

When:
Thursday, November 15, 2007
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Where:
Fleishman-Hillard Inc.
1615 L Street NW, Suite 1000 Washington, DC 20036

A topic such as “web application security” can often bring with it a perception of dull/stale boredom — but the topic is extremely interesting to designers and developers alike; or at least it should be. Whether or not you are interested or directly involved in web application security or not — this is really a web best-practices presentation. We are most interested in seeing how this presentation may shape our perception of how we design, develop or strategize for the web. Is being more aware of web application security best-practices something that will actually influence creative strategy, user-interface design or front-end development?

We are going to be there and find out! Who is coming with us?
