With less than two months away, the SXSWi excitement is growing more and more. As most of you know, we are big supporters of the SXSW Bowling Extravaganza. We sponsored the event in 2007 to ensure everyone could bowl for free and in 2008 we had the privilege to run the event. However, this year we will not be hosting the event. We’ve received a lot of messages lately asking about the event and event details. We’d love to host the event again, but this year I am sad to say we will only be going as participants (and beer sponsors!).
The event is not ours, it belongs to Bryan Veloso. Bryan is the real genius behind the event; he gets (much deserved) all the credit for creating what has become one of the most popular SXSWi after-events! Bryan was unable to attend SXSW last year; we stepped-up to ensure the event, and the spirit of the event, could continue even in his absence. Bryan will be back at SXSW this year and with that back running our favorite event of the conference!
Bryan gave us some insider information, he tells us to expect an event website up later this week. For now, keep watching Upcoming.org for updates. The official date has been set: it will be on Sunday, March 15th.
