Where in the world is Cindy Li?
We get asked a lot lately, where is Cindy? She seems to be everywhere at once at times; she is happily in San Francisco working with Yahoo! on Yahoo! buzz. She loves it so much over there we are sad to say that she will be leaving nclud. While she is no longer officially a part of the team, she will always be a part of nclud and we will continue to work together. Cindy is an amazing friend, a huge source of inspiration and our favorite person to eat ‘pizza as big as your head’ with. We thought we had a lot of fun over here, but apparently those Yahoo! guys and gals are even more wild and crazy than us.
Cindy joined nclud right after leaving ScrapBlog at the beginning of the year. Actually, Cindy has been working with nclud since the beginning, on our very first client project actually. Cindy joined nclud at a special time, a time when we were growing, growing out of a two-person shop, and really figuring out who we were as an agency; or better, who we were going to become. However, Cindy had left the DC area and moved to San Francisco and we knew from the beginning co-location wasn’t going to work well with the sort of creative culture we wanted to create. Originally we had planned to relocate Cindy back to DC after SXSW ‘08; but Cindy ultimately fell in love with the bay area, the people and the opportunities in that area such as working with amazing organizations like Yahoo!, Ma.gnolia and Crown Publishing.
We, and the entire DC web community, would love to have Cindy back. Anyone who knows Cindy, knows what a strong and wonderful personality she has, she creates an aura that people are drawn too. She was one of the early influencers that really helped drive and grow the DC web community. But we are all ecstatic to hear how much she does love it out in San Francisco and we hope themattharris can get out there soon as well!
And Cindy, whenever you want to come back to D.C. – there will always be a place for you here!
